Jill Homan Randall (she/her) is a San Francisco Bay Area artist. Her work in the field of dance is wide and varied as a performer, teaching artist, arts administrator, and writer. Jill’s 20 year performing career included 14 years with Nina Haft & Company as well as extensive work with Paufve Dance, Dana Lawton, and Martt Lawrence. She is currently the Artistic Director of Shawl-Anderson Dance Center and an adjunct instructor at Saint Mary’s College of California, working in the LEAP Program. Jill has taught in K-12 public and independent schools, dance studios, and community centers and guest speaks in undergraduate dance programs each year. She received the Herbst Foundation Award for Teaching Excellence in 2013. As a writer, Jill serves as a Contributing Editor for Dance Teacher and directs several writing projects on her own, including: Life as a Modern Dancer, Dancing Words, Market to Market, and MFA Dance in Review. Jill holds a BFA in Modern Dance from the University of Utah and an MFA in Dance: Creative Practice from Saint Mary’s College of California.
